Turbo Petrol: Should you Buy?

The 2020 has been a year of turmoil. Almost every industry is struggling ๐Ÿ“‰ to meet ends. It has also been tough for Indian Automobile Industry. The Automakers were already struggling due to the BS4 to BS6 upgrade. Then the COVID 19 ๐Ÿ˜ท pandemic broke it's back.

But all is not lost. With automakers luring the customers with never seen before VFM packages like the new Hyundai Creta(1.4L), Kia Seltos(1.4L), Hyundai Venue(1.0L), TATA NEXON (1.2L The Safest Indian Car), upcoming Honda City(1.0L), Hyundai I20(1.0L) & Renault Duster (1.3L 156 BHP ๐Ÿ‘€ Most Powerful)

If one thing is common in all the above cars ๐Ÿš˜ is the introduction of a Turbo Petrol Engine. Why have these engines become so popular all of a sudden❓

Let's see the Pros (1st) & Cons of Turbo Petrol Engines:
๐Ÿ‘ Small Capacity (CC) Engines hence more fuel efficient.
๐Ÿ‘High Power & High Torque
๐Ÿ‘Small Engine means less Insurance & Tax Costs.
๐Ÿ‘Less Emissions & hence easier to make BS6 compliant.
๐Ÿ‘Light Weight, hence better Power to weight ratio.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
๐Ÿ‘ŽComplex Engines, hence high initial ownership cost as compared to standard petrol engines.
๐Ÿ‘ŽHigh maintenance cost.
๐Ÿ‘ŽTurbo Lag.
๐Ÿ‘ŽMight not be as durable as a Naturally Aspirated petrol or Turbo Diesels.

But overall Turbo Petrols make for a great fun to drive experience & is the new norm in the immediate future of Indian Automobile Industry.
